Most people in general have a natural sensitivity towards other people and animals and feel sympathy for the way they feel.

However, being an empath means that you have a gift where you are able to energetically perceive the emotions of others using an extra sensory perception called clairempathy.

This means you actually feel the energy in your own being. This can be a challenging receptor to have open because it makes you super sensitive to the emotional and physical energy of others and the atmosphere around you.
