Anytime you feel stress creeping in, pause and take 5 slow, conscious breaths into your naval. In through your nose, out through your mouth. Breathe in calm, exhale tension.

This micro-moment of conscious breathing can be the difference between your stress becoming a full blown reaction that is then projected onto another… which we all know is never a nice experience to be on the receiving end any more than it be one projecting.

It’s like giving your mind a moment, allowing you to come back to center and continue with a a more balanced perspective.

It’s always difficult leaving my family in the UK. Such a mix of emotions, happy to be back in our slice of heaven, and so hard saying our farewells. Never easy when your heart is in two places at once. Gratitude for the beautiful time together, the cheeky and playful banter dad and I still share and the deep care and love I always feel from mum.
